UCF Homecoming 2008 Tailgate

Here’s the info, please respond. UCF is asking that you wear a GOLD shirt for this game.

TIMELINE

9:30am: Arrival (subject to change, will update later in week)
10:00am: Homecoming Parade
12:00pm: Food arrives (based on Bubbaloo’s schedule, may happen at 11:30am)
2:30pm: Tailgate Breakdown
3:30pm: Football Kickoff
6:30pm: UCF basketball exhibition game following football game (free!)

FOOD

We’ll be doing a similar spread as what we did last year with Bubbaloo’s. Pulled pork, chicken, baked beans, green beans, and cole slaw catered from Bubbaloo’s BBQ. Cost is $6 per adult and $3 for kids (10 and under).

DRINKS

For drinks either bring your own or let us know that you would like to donate and what you would like and someone with a parking pass and a cooler can pick it up for you.

RESPONSE

This is especially true for those that haven’t signed up yet

1) Head count you are responding for
2) Approx time you plan to arrive and if eating (adult/child breakdown)

So far I have the following signed up from Saturday: Jean+1, John+1, Tom, Ron+1, Scott+6, Jason+1, Linda+3, Jen+2, and Megan.

    3. Let’s bring a win with us this week.

  4. Larry and I will be there. Not sure what time yet, but probably late morning.

  5. 1) Team Williams will total 7
    2) We will arrive around noon. Rony has basketball photos at 11:15 am in Lawton Chiles Middle School Gym near UCF.

    Go Knights!

  6. Brandon and I will be there for lunch. We should be there by 11am.

  7. Here is the post mortem:

    50 adults
    4 kids

    pulled pork: 14 pounds
    whole chickens: 6
    mac & cheese: 1 gallon
    cole slaw: 1 gallon
    sauces: 4 (1 pack)
    Total with tax/tip from Bubbaloo’s = $317

Eric also made two trays of baked beans and I purchased 40 buns for pork sandwiches.

We had about half the chicken left, very little pork, no mac & cheese or cole slaw left, 1 tray of baked beans left, and 5 buns.

Next time if same number of people get more mac & cheese (extra gallon) as that went the fastest, less chicken (maybe just 3 whole?) as that had the most left, and so probably some more pork (extra 1-2 pounds?). Also just one tray of beans is needed. Amount of cole slaw and buns should be fine.
