What a great day to be a Knight fan. For me personally it was absolutely the greatest day in UCF Sports history which goes back 20+ years. So without further ado, here are my thoughts, pics, and videos from C-USA Championship day. Including Knight Walk, Zombie Nation, Erin Andrews, and Post Game celebrations!

THOUGHTS

There was electricity in the air even during the tailgating. Being on campus is just incredible.
Although it was not a sellout (but close) thanks to high ticket prices, the crowd was just insane. Loudest they’ve been all year on defense and not just on 3rd downs either.
Zombie Nation rocked again, they said they would limit it to four times a game but they played it seven times. We can’t phase out that song, I think it helps our home field advantage too much.
MVPs of the game, obviously Kevin Smith gets the nod but I think he should share it with the defensive line that helped put pressure on Paul Smith all game. Incredible job really by the entire defense in the 2nd half!
How about All Hail Joe (Burnett) taking back a punt return to the house in two consecutive Championship games. Amazing.
Kevin Smith. It’s to the point where I can’t even describe how much I love watching him and the fact that he is so humble and classy off the field just makes you realize how special we are to have him.
Loved Kevin’s Michael Jordan shrug of “it’s just too easy” after he fan in his last TD run for 74 yards, which by the way now stands as my favorite Kevin run in history.
I wish UCF had let the students rush the field, but I guess I can understand their stance.
I gotta admit I got a little emotional as UCF has official given an invitation to the Liberty Bowl in the post game ceremony. I had chills all over my body and will always remember that moment.
After the game Kevin was mobbed for pics and autographs and he said more than a few times that don’t worry he’ll take care of everyone who is there. They actually setup an impromptu autograph session complete with table and an attempted single-file line.
I’ll also always remember booking my flights to Memphis on Memory Mall thanks to UCF’s wireless connectivity and my friend’s laptop! Can’t wait for Beale St and the Liberty Bowl!
