Pictures and some thoughts from SMU Game

First a couple thoughts (and yes there are some rants I’m afraid) and then some pics.
Tailgate / Pregame
- New Memory Mall rules weren’t as bad as I anticipated but they still caused some unnecessary problems. I didn’t even attempt to put 4 tents together but will be doing so next game. That will be the key for me…
- Having a cop on a crane seems a bit overboard, same could be said for some of the police attitude towards fans in general.
- I can’t believe the banner company spelled “Sentinel” wrong on our anti-OS banner. Oh vey..
- First time ever the North Endzone actually had a long line to enter. I almost didn’t make it to the game on time because of that. There is usually no wait, but seemed to have less people working the gates. Why would they do that?
- Very late arriving crowd, but we filled in nicely. Not bad for a 1-3 time coming off a blowout loss!
- Pregame still leaves much to be deserved, Zombie Nation was being played while the band played the fight song. Why can’t we seem to get this figured out?
Game
- This was a game where I’m very glad to walk out with a victory but don’t feel as though I know too much more about the team walking out as I did walking in.
- It was looking like RC may be a our single starting QB the rest of the year, but then Greco comes in and helps us score 3 TDs in the 2nd half. Both QBs looked pretty good I thought. No clue who will start next week.
- Great game by Ronnie Weaver, how about that 40+ yard run and the stiff arm! Surprised that we never saw any other RBs all game though.
- What can you saw about Joe Burnett? Absolutely amazing, can you imagine where we’d be without him this year? In addition to all the returns and Ints, he’s really improved his open field tackling this year.
- Defensive co-MVPs has to go to #98 Troup and #99 Geathers. Troup many times just blew through the line even if he was being double teamed. One play he actually knocked the center back into the QB.
- Outside of the 94 yard pass for SMU, the defense really played lights out in the 2nd half. I still feel very confident about them.
- I think the key for our team the rest of the year lies with the offensive line.
Feel free to leave a comment if you disagree with any of these thoughts.
Pictures (I didn’t take too many this week)
