Great Ratings for Liberty Bowl
Of course that would have been a lot better for us had we won, or at least scored a TD. But hey exposure is exposure and I’d venture to guess that this game probably had more viewers than any other game we’ve ever played. Anytime we can get our name out there more it always helps, just like I’m sure Kevin’s chase of Barry’s record helped in viewership!
Over 3.9 Million households tuned into to watch the Liberty Bowl, making it ESPN’s 3rd highest watched bowl game of the entire bowl season. It also beat out games that were played on network TV such as the Sun Bowl which was on CBS but only 2.5 million tuned into watch USF get stomped by Oregon. It also edged the Cotton Bowl on Fox which matched Missouri vs Arkansas, beating it by a very slim 10,000 viewers. All in all, great news for UCF football!
