Article on O’Leary staying @ UCF
The Florida Today had a great article in their Sunday paper about George O’Leary. In it O’Leary put an end to all the rumors of him using UCF to get a bigger BCS school job, and also gave his vision of where he sees UCF in the future.

Some of my favorite quotes from the article:
On staying with UCF until he retires:
"I’ll be 60 this summer, and I’m not looking to go anywhere," O’Leary said. "I had opportunities to do that, but I made a commitment to get this done right here . . .
"Some coaches are noticed, some are remembered, and I’d like to be one that was remembered. It’s like a new car that you like, but as soon as it turns the corner you forget about it. There are some coaches like that. I’d rather be a coach who was remembered for caring about academics, caring about the kids and one who got the program competitive."
On skeptics who say that he’ll jump to a bigger school:
"I’m sure people are thinking that and there are people calling all the time, but I’m not that kind of person. This job here, if we get the stadium and get things going, this is going to be one heck of a job. I have some vision. People that don’t know yet keep asking if coach is staying there? They don’t know what we have going here. Even when the pro scouts come in and visit, they say, ‘Whoa! Now I know what you are doing here.’The people who don’t know still look at us as a (Mid-American Conference) school, but we’re not even close to that from a facility standpoint."
On getting to the level of FSU, UF, and Miami:
"We’re eventually going to catch them. There’s no question about it. They know it and we know it."
