Today is the day that we will find out if the national media will give Kevin Smith the recognition he deserves by voting him into the Top 5 in the Heisman, which would give him that coveted trip to New York for the ceremony. I really want this for Kevin and will extremely upset if he doesn’t make it.

However, regardless I strongly encourage you to read this wonderful story from the Miami Herald this past weekend that tells the story of Kevin’s family as he grew up in Miami. It’s easy to see why Kevin is such a man of character off the field, he’s Mom did a fantastic job raising him! I wish nothing but the best for the Smith family!
