UCF vs Buffalo 2009: Tailgate

Here is the plan, please respond in comments below for all to be able to read. UCF is pushing a WHITEOUT for this game as you can see from the tickets, so please wear white to the game if possible.

TIMELINE
12:00pm: Tailgate starts
5:00pm: Dinnertime!
6:30pm: Tailgate Breakdown
7:30pm: Kickoff

FOOD
It’s a tailgate classic with good ole brats, burgers, and hot dogs. In addition we’ll need buns, sides (baked beans, cole slaw, etc?) and of course condiments including kraut, ketchup, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mustard.

If you can’t bring/make food this time, no problem at all. You can donate some cash to be given to those that do make food to recover some costs. I just need to know your plans so we are prepared.

DRINKS
For drinks either bring your own or let us know that you would like to donate and what you would like and someone with a parking pass and a cooler can pick it up for you. If you need something just post below.

RESPONSE
So please respond in the comment field below with the following info:

1) Head count you are responding for and approx time you plan to arrive
2) Are you eating with us? (any strong food preferences- brats vs burgers, etc)
3) What food you will be bringing or will you be donating?

UCF vs UAB Tailgate on 11/29

IMPORTANT: Game has been changed from 3:30pm to 1pm.

Here is the plan for what will be a sad day in UCF football. It is the last time we’ll see greats like Joe Burnett and Shareff Rashad in a UCF uniform.

TIMELINE
8:00am: Tailgate starts
9:00am: Start cooking breakfast
12:00pm: Tailgate Breakdown
1:00pm: Kickoff (please try to be in stadium EARLY to cheer on seniors)

LOCATION
We likely will setup in our “new” location that we found last game. It’s just southeast of where we normally are, next to those classroom buildings.

FOOD
Due to time change to 1pm kickoff we are now going to do a breakfast tailgate! So please take a look at what others are bringing below and bring a tasty treat. We’ll make sure we have access to power outlets to be able to use appliances. Ideas: pancakes, french toast, sausage, bacon, donuts, eggs, fruit, etc.

DRINKS
Normally I state that drinks are on your own, and that will be the case for beer, but it may be good for some to bring some OJ, champaign (mimosa), milk, etc.

RESPONSE
So please respond in the comment field below with the following info:

1) Head count you are responding for
2) Approx time you plan to arrive at tailgate and are you eating with us?
3) What food and/or drinks you will be bringing

UCF vs ECU 11/2 Tailgate

Here is the plan, please respond. UCF is pushing a WHITEOUT for this nationally televised ESPN game so please wear a white shirt to the game. Also if anyone is in need of tickets please let me know. I may have a couple open up in our group’s section.

TIMELINE
12noon: Tailgate starts
1:00pm: NFL Games Start, to hopefully be watched in our tent via satellite!
5:00pm: Dinnertime!
7:00pm: Tailgate Breakdown
8:00pm: Kickoff

FOOD
We are shooting for another tasty Cajun inspired tailgate as it should work out perfectly being a Sunday night game as it gives everyone the full weekend to prepare food. Plus the following weekend will be a catered BBQ tailgate so no one will have to work next week. However I need to make sure we have enough people that are willing to making/bring food for this. Even if you’ve never made something Cajun why not try now, our first endeavor into making Cajun was the tailgate back in 2007. Internet recipes are a wonderful thing, have fun with it!

Here are items that could be good to bring: Red Beans & Rice, Gumbo, Shrimp, Jambalaya, Chicken Creole, Corn Bread, Sausages, etc. We will have hot dogs and chips for the non-Cajun eaters.

If you can’t bring/make food this time, no problem at all. You can donate some cash to be given to those that do make food to recover some costs.

DRINKS
For drinks either bring your own or let us know that you would like to donate and what you would like and someone with a parking pass and a cooler can pick it up for you.

RESPONSE
So please respond in the comment field below with the following info:

1) Head count you are responding for
2) Approx time you plan to arrive at tailgate and are you eating with us?
3) What food you will be bringing (and drink needs)

UCF vs SMU 2008 Tailgate

Here is round 1 of the plan for the SMU tailgate on October 4th, things will remain
subject to change so check back again. Please leave your responses
within this post so everyone can read them. There are some new (silly) tailgate setup rules for Memory Mall that start this game. I’m going to contact GKC this week to find out more, it may change when I arrive to start setting up.

TIMELINE
9:00am: Tailgate setup crew arrives (may change based on conversation with GKC)
10:00am: Tailgate start time for the masses
12:00pm: Cajun Lunchtime
2:30pm: Breakdown
3:30pm: Kickoff

FOOD
Based on the popularity of our Cajun tailgate last year we’ve brought it back this year. Based on our team’s performance the timing couldn’t be any better because I know many are looking forward to this tailgate big-time. We’ve worked out some details Saturday night, but still have some more things to figure out. Here’s what it looks like now:

Jason: Red Beans & Rice (from Tom’s recipe last year)
Jen: Gumbo
Natalie: Gumbo and Shrimp
Jean: Hot Dogs for the kids and anti-Cajun eaters

So some ideas for others would be jambalaya, chicken creole, corn bread, sausages, etc. However, bring what you want and don’t be afraid to make something new for the first time. And it doesn’t have to be 100% Cajun influenced either. Let’s have fun with this!

DRINKS
For drinks either bring your own or let us
know that you would like to donate and what you would like and someone
with a parking pass and a cooler can pick it up for you.

RESPONSE

2) Approx time you plan to arrive at tailgate and are you eating with us?
