UCF vs ECU Video Highlights

Nice site from a ECU fan who puts together the highlights for both teams. Gives a good review of the game, allowed me to remember some of the positives that I had forgotten about. I’m in no way saying I’m happy or anything, but I will say that is the best our offense has looked since 2007 probably especially when you consider it was a pretty good defense we were up against.

For Knight fans not making the trip up and living Orlando/Tampa markets, please keep in mind if you have Bright House cable then you can watch the game live. The game is on at 3:30pm EST and is on a new channel called Bright House Sports Network which is channel 47 in Orlando.

Pictures Posted from Buffalo Tailgate

As a friend said, UCF tried their best but still couldn’t keep us from having a good time tailgating. And I do stress they really really tried unfortunately with these continued time restrictions and an increased enforcement of the tailgate lines. I’d like to take this time to encourage anyone else who continues to be upset over these rules to keep contacting the administration.

As for the game, how about that 2nd half? If we go by trends, which I know I know it doesn’t always work like that then we can make some statements. Looks like we have ourselves a great QB in Hodges, a future star DB in Robinson, a playmaker in Hallman, the best special teams in C-USA, an improving O-Line, an aggressive defense, and dare I even say an Offense that wasn’t afraid to go to 4 WR sets for much of the night. Hey 30 minutes of football isn’t a enough to make predictions, but again I like the trend and I’m ready to kick some Pirate butt this weekend!

Don’t forget it’s a WHITEOUT Saturday

WEAR YOUR WHITE! GO KNIGHTS!

USM Roadtrip 2009 Pics and Thoughts

The third time is the charm! After trips not working out the previous two years we played at USM, I finally got a trip to the Rock under my belt and as an added bonus we stayed in New Orleans for 3 nights which was also a first for me. Unfortunately we didn’t come away with the win, but this post is focusing on the trip not the game. First I’ll give a link to the pictures, and then some thoughts for those that care!

UCF vs Buffalo 2009: Tailgate

Here is the plan, please respond in comments below for all to be able to read. UCF is pushing a WHITEOUT for this game as you can see from the tickets, so please wear white to the game if possible.

TIMELINE
12:00pm: Tailgate starts
5:00pm: Dinnertime!
6:30pm: Tailgate Breakdown
7:30pm: Kickoff

FOOD
It’s a tailgate classic with good ole brats, burgers, and hot dogs. In addition we’ll need buns, sides (baked beans, cole slaw, etc?) and of course condiments including kraut, ketchup, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mustard.

If you can’t bring/make food this time, no problem at all. You can donate some cash to be given to those that do make food to recover some costs. I just need to know your plans so we are prepared.

DRINKS
For drinks either bring your own or let us know that you would like to donate and what you would like and someone with a parking pass and a cooler can pick it up for you. If you need something just post below.

RESPONSE
So please respond in the comment field below with the following info:

1) Head count you are responding for and approx time you plan to arrive
2) Are you eating with us? (any strong food preferences- brats vs burgers, etc)
3) What food you will be bringing or will you be donating?

Hitting the road to watch UCF @ USM

Hopefully I can post some pics up here soon after! In the meantime, ..GO KNIGHTS beat USM!

Oh and GO K34, who’ll will be watching Sunday at the Lions @ Saints game.

Quincy McDuffie is Fast

In case you missed the game, or even if you were there enjoy this video. It’s great to know that this true freshman as 4 years of being a Knight ahead of him. Also here is a great article in the Orlando Sentinel about how UCF signed him out of Edgewater.

Pics and videos from 2009 season opener

Anyone following this site knows my opinion on the tailgate changes and absolutely nothing changed that on Saturday. If anything I know am more upset because the continued lack of communication on what we can or can’t do and the fact that those in non-donor lots had much less obstacles to overcome. Also none of the stated goals from UCF were seemingly achieved considering it appears they spent more on pre-noon security than ever before and I didn’t see any less rowdy behavior than usual. Hopefully some common sense is used and adjustments are made quickly to ease donor concerns and fix actual issues.

In the meantime here are some photos and videos I captured on Memory Mall and in the game.

UCF: “most of them completely agree with the policy”

Fox 35 interviewed me today for a piece about the tailgate controversy. My part was pretty small, but I’m posting this as I felt there was something pretty interesting in the story. UCF spokesman Grant Heston was quoted in the story as saying this:

“We have passionate fans and I think MOST of them COMPLETELY agree with the policy and the noon start time for this game”

I concede there are some fans that don’t care about this issue, but I haven’t run into any that agree with this policy and are happy about it. I’m curious where the UCF Administration find these fans? This is the second bizarre statement from a UCF official, the first was back on August 17th during a tailgate meeting where Admiral Harms stated that he had many fans tell him that they were “scared” to be on Memory Mall. I don’t want to say UCF is lying, but I’d love to find out where these fans are they like to reference.
