New friendships are built on new stadiums. Just ask Sentinel columnist Mike Bianchi and UCF head football coach George O’Leary. A new stadium makes everyone happy folks.
Don’t forget to wear GOLD on Saturday, it’s a GOLD RUSH!!!
Overall the Sentinel has been doing a great job this week and this year on covering UCF. They took 3 giant steps back with Jeremy Fowler’s useless and in my opinion condescending article on “traditions” yesterday. However as bad as it was it wasn’t enough to take away the overall great coverage of the new stadium this week.
Here are some great stories from the Sentinel you should read:

UCF’s stadium will be a boon to merchants

UCF needs to put some heart into its home

I knew that people were happy about the stadium opening, but I never thought I’d see this in my lifetime.
Don’t forget to wear GOLD on Saturday, it’s a GOLD RUSH!!!
A new article today on the C-USA site breaks down NFL players from C-USA teams. UCF and Memphis lead the way with 11 players each. Here is a list of the UCF players.
UCF
Atari Bigby S Green Bay Packers
Daunte Culpepper QB Oakland Raiders
Travis Fisher CB Detroit Lions
Michael Gaines TE Buffalo Bills
Cornell Green OT Oakland Raiders
Alex Haynes RB Carolina Panthers (practice squad)
Rashad Jeanty LB Cincinnati Bengals
Darcy Johnson TE New York Giants
Brandon Marshall WR Denver Broncos
Asante Samuel CB New England Patriots
*Mike Walker WR Jacksonville Jaguars (injured)
Don’t forget to record this game so you can watch UCF beating Texas again on Sunday. Ok well even if that doesn’t happen you can at least see what the stadium looks like on TV and from above.
Well here is your forecast, with it you can’t go wrong:

Don’t think UCF has any shot at beating Texas? Check out who the “expert” picks on CBS Sportsline, I like this Darst guy…

Although a sell out was never really in doubt it didn’t become official until today as UCF had some issues with the student ticket distribution (there will be 12,000 students in attendance) and the school was also trying to sell season tickets all the way to the last minute. Single game tickets were never really open to the public. Either way this is now the first UCF football game to ever sell out, and I’m sure it will be the first of many! Way to go KNIGHT fans!
Don’t forget to wear your GOLD UCF shirts, as this game is a GOLD RUSH!
