Wait until you see what is in store for UCF within the next few years. Below is a link to UCF’s facilities planning server with renderings of the new Athletic Village- which includes the new Convocation Center, dorms, tons of retail, and of course the new stadium. Resturants such as Smokey Bones & Outback are already signed up. It’s an exiting time to be a Knight!!!

Back from UCF Fan Day and in my opinion it was the best one yet as it was great to be back on campus. To see pics click on the Pictures link, then click Miscellaneous Pictures. Some thoughts:

• Fan Day on campus reinforces how great an on campus stadium will be
• The band playing the fight song got me pumped for the season
• The players really seemed to be enjoying it and were very personable
• Clarence Howard was the best, he’s a new family fav- full of charisma
• We have a TON of OL & DBs, but WRs & TEs look to be most athletic
• O’Leary looked to be enjoying himself the entire two hours

UCF Fan Day is coming up soon- its being held Aug 20th from 4-6pm. It is at a new location this year, instead of the Citrus Bowl it is going to be at the Wayne Dench Sports Complex on campus! For those that haven’t seen the facilities there, including the indoor field house, this will be a great opportunity to check it out! Click read more below for the official release from UCF.
Fan Photo Day is right around the corner! On August 20th from 4-6 p.m. at the Wayne Densch Sports Complex on campus you can meet and greet the 2005 Golden Knights football squad. The coaches and team will be there to sign autographs and take pictures. If you’re a donor at the Noble level or above, please stop by the GKC tent at Fan Photo Day to pick-up your football media guide. If you can’t make it, don’t worry - we will mail your media guide to you after the event.

As you can see I have completed my yearly site redesign prior to the start of the new football season. I think this design might stick around for more than a year…
As it took me a bit longer than the others, but I think its worth it…
 
Some new features include:

• Calendar/Events that will contain info about game and tailgate times
• User accounts so that I can easily contact everyone with updates
• Large "Useful Links" section for everything from UCF to my Geek links
• Search ability that will search any text on the site, except Pic section

View from our seats in Section 227

I have received all of our 28 tickets for the game and will have them at the tailgate, for those that can’t be at the tailgate we’ll figure something out. Our tickets are unfortunately pretty much all in one LONG row, you can see the view from our seats via the link above! 

We will be staying at the Sheraton Suites Tampa Airport, which is only 3 miles from the stadium and 10 miles from Ybor! The UCF Alumni Association has put together a block of rooms $99/night if you are a member- you can call them at (800) 325-3535, make sure to identify yourself as a UCF Alumni to receive the discounted rate.
